You’re Never Too Lost to Find Yourself

There comes a moment in everyone’s life when the noise quiets down and you’re left alone with your thoughts, wondering if you’ve lost your way. Maybe it’s after another failed plan, a dream that didn’t work out, or a season that feels painfully still. You start asking, Who am I really? What am I even doing with my life? I’ve met people who looked perfectly fine on the outside but were quietly wrestling with these questions. Some thought they’d already missed their turn in life; others feared they were too far gone to begin again. But here’s the thing about self-discovery, it doesn’t have a deadline. Finding yourself isn’t always a dramatic moment of awakening. Sometimes, it’s in the small decisions, choosing to rest when you’ve been running, forgiving yourself for not knowing better, saying no to things that don’t serve your peace anymore.  It’s the gentle unfolding that happens when you stop rushing to become who everyone expects you to be and start listening to your own voi...

Learning to Let Go

I remember a season in my life when I kept holding on to something that had clearly ended. It wasn’t easy to admit it, but deep down, I knew I was trying to fix what no longer wanted to be whole. I replayed moments, conversations, and memories , hoping something would change if I just tried harder. But nothing did. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. I kept telling myself, “Maybe it’ll get better,” but the truth was, I was holding on to what God was asking me to release. I was afraid of what would happen if I let go,  afraid of the silence, the emptiness, and the unknown that might follow. Then one evening, while journaling, I came across a verse that changed everything: “ Be still and know that I am God. ” It was a gentle reminder that I didn’t need to have all the answers. I just needed to trust that God knew what He was doing. Letting go didn’t happen overnight. Some days I cried. Other days I smiled and pretended I was fine. But slowly, I began to see that peace does...

Faithfulness Fuels Growth

Hey there, happy new month! I hope this new chapter brings you peace, progress, and plenty of reasons to smile. I know new months usually come with fresh goals and plans, but beyond all the resolutions and to-do lists, I want to remind you of something that quietly shapes how far we grow. Today, I’ll be sharing with you a simple but powerful truth: faithfulness attracts growth. Let me take you back to a story Jesus told that still hits hard today. A master was about to travel, so he trusted three of his servants with his wealth: five talents to one, two to another, and one to the last. The first two invested what they received and doubled it. The last one buried his single talent in the ground because he was afraid to lose it. When the master returned, he was proud of the first two and rewarded them with even more. But the one who hid his talent? The master called him lazy and took away the little he had. That story isn’t really about money; it’s about how life works. Growth does...

The Power of Small Steps: Why Growth Doesn’t Happen Overnight

We live in a world that celebrates speed. Overnight success stories make headlines, social media amplifies quick wins, and the pressure to achieve “big things” at once weighs heavily on many young people and entrepreneurs. But behind every story of breakthrough lies a quiet truth: growth doesn’t happen overnight; it unfolds through small, consistent steps. When I reflect on my own journey, I realize that some of the most meaningful progress I’ve made didn’t come from giant leaps but from little efforts I showed up for daily. It’s the late nights spent learning, the courage to try one more time after failing, and the humility to start small while holding on to a bigger vision. Those steps didn’t always feel glamorous, but they were building blocks for something greater. For entrepreneurs, especially, the temptation to chase instant results is real. You start a business and expect it to take off in a few months. You launch an idea and hope it gets noticed immediately. But sustainabl...

Africa’s Youth and the Future of Work: Are We Prepared?

Africa’s youth stand at the heart of the continent’s destiny. With millions of young people entering the labor market each year, the question of how they will work, where they will work, and what opportunities they will find has become urgent. The future of work is no longer a distant conversation; it is already shaping the lives of young Africans in cities, towns, and rural communities. One of the greatest realities facing the continent is that traditional jobs are no longer guaranteed. In many countries, industries that once absorbed large numbers of workers are shrinking, while new areas of opportunity are emerging. Informal work remains the backbone of survival for many households, but it often lacks security, fair wages, and growth potential. At the same time, new forms of work—whether in creative industries, service delivery, agriculture, or technology are taking shape in ways that demand fresh thinking. Education plays a central role in this transition. Across Africa, too many y...

When Your Growth Feels Like a Threat: Choosing the Right Room

Have you ever been in a situation where you had to consciously shrink yourself because of the people around you? Maybe you toned down your excitement about a new achievement, avoided sharing your big dreams, or even pretended you were not as capable as you really are—just so others wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. It’s a strange place to be. On one hand, you want to celebrate your wins and push yourself further. On the other hand, the reactions from those around you can make you question whether your growth is “too much.” Before long, you find yourself doing less, dimming your light, and playing small in order to keep the peace. But here’s the truth: you’re not arrogant for dreaming big. You’re not prideful for wanting more. And you’re not wrong for striving to become the best version of yourself. Growth is not about oppressing anyone—it’s about fulfilling your purpose. The reality is, the right people will clap when you win. They will see your growth as inspiration, not competition. ...

Game-Changer for Small Businesses: How Nigeria’s New Tax Reform Could Spark Real Growth

Nigeria has taken a bold step toward modernizing its economic framework with the signing of four significant tax reform bills by President Bola Tinubu. Beyond just fiscal restructuring, this move signals a renewed commitment to building a more inclusive and growth-oriented economy particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which remain the backbone of job creation in Nigeria. For too long, MSMEs have operated under the weight of multiple taxes, inconsistent levies, and burdensome regulatory processes that often discourage growth and formalization. With the new reforms—set to take effect from January 2026 the government is centralizing tax administration, simplifying the tax structure, and introducing clearer exemptions for small businesses. Companies earning ₦50 million or less annually are now exempt from several key taxes, while individuals earning below ₦800,000 monthly are also free from personal income tax obligations. This creates a friendlier operating e...

A New Chapter: Growing Personally and Building a Better World

It’s been a while since I last published on this blog. Life happened; shifts, growth, waiting, and reflection. But in that space, something powerful took root: a renewed clarity about purpose. When I first started writing here, my goal was simple,to share stories and lessons about personal growth. I wanted to explore how we could become better versions of ourselves, how we could heal, grow, and step into our potential. That passion hasn’t changed. What has changed is the vision: it’s now bigger. Today, I’m reopening this blog with a broader purpose. We’re still going to talk about growth but now we’re stretching it beyond the personal. We’re talking about how our personal development connects to economic empowerment, decent work, and building sustainable communities. We’re talking about SDG 8. If you’re not familiar, SDG 8 is one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. It focuses on promoting sustained, inclusive economic growth, full and productive employment, and d...

HELPING A CHILD BREAK OUT FROM THE STING CALLED FEAR.

Helping a child overcome fear or anxiety requires patience, understanding, and a supportive approach. Here are some steps you can take: Listen and Validate: First and foremost, listen to your child's fears and concerns without judgment. Let them know that it's okay to feel scared or anxious and that their feelings are valid. Provide Reassurance: Offer comfort and reassurance. Let your child know that you're there to protect and support them.  Gradual Exposure: If the fear is related to a specific situation or object, consider gradual exposure. Start with small, manageable steps to help them become more comfortable with what they fear. Teach Coping Strategies: Teach your child age-appropriate coping strategies. Breathing exercises, positive self-talk, and distraction techniques can be helpful. Positive Role Modeling: Children often learn by observing their parents or caregivers. Be a positive role model by demonstrating how to manage fear or anxiety effectively. Maintain Ro...

THE CHRONICLES.

THE CHRONICLES. In the past few years, I have not been consistent in writing on this Blog.  I have been occupied with a lot of things and in the process I have come to realize that growth is the ability to take responsibility and also be able to balance every area of your life.  I also got distracted in the process from the primary purpose but Thank God for God! 🤭( I mean this). I have come to realize that without a clear purpose, you will keep changing directions, jobs, relationships, or other externals-hoping each change will settle the confusion or fill the emptiness in your heart. The point is that it's in human nature to get distracted so you keep moving from one place to another without direction. You think, Maybe this time it will be different, but it doesn't solve your real problem lack of focus and purpose. The Bible says, "Don't live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants."What the Master wants is for us to live solely...

OVERCOME THE FEAR AND TAKE ACTION

Do you know why most people don't take action in their lives?     Because they are afraid of the unknown. After all, nobody likes things they're not familiar with. We hate when things don't go according to plan.   When unexpected events make us find new ways to do things.  Maybe it's an important decision you have to make without knowing all the details.   Maybe you need to get something done without really knowing how to do it. Or maybe it's a worldwide crisis never seen before like last year's.   It doesn't matter how well prepared you are for these things...   There will always be a moment where these situations will catch you by surprise.  It's just inevitable.  All those situations make us feel uncertain...  They paralyze us and stop us from going after our goals.   And what happens to those who let their fear of the unknown take over?   Well, they never get to live to their fullest potential.  They ...
